The whole thing sounds like waffle. Also, if XYZ is the name of the university, omit "this."

Thanks Teechar. Actually my teacher asked me to write a sentence with "pave the way" in a class. Maybe that's why it sounds waffle.
I feel that Cambridge University can pave the way for both educational and career achievements.

My teacher said that "career" is wrong, and only "occupation" is a good collocation in this sentence, so he marked it as a wrong word.
