I wouldn't like, I don't want

At the moment I've got a temporary job in a bookshop. It's OK as a temporary job but I wouldn't like to do it permanently.

Could we use 'don't want' in place of 'wouldn't like' without changing the meaning of the sentence?

'...wouldn't like...' is less emphatic than '...don't want...'

'...wouldn't like...' is a conditional form and as such suggests that you might stay in the job if other conditions were met (salary, hours etc).

'...don't want...' suggests you really don't like the job and would leave tomorrow if other employment became available.
