TOP BANANA - originally, the comic who headlined a show. If it was a comedy show with various comics, the star of the show was referred to as Top Banana. Now, it is used to refer to the most important person in an organization or group.

A star in English is someone who is famous. It symbolizes the height of a person's social status. "You're going to rise so high in Hollywood, you'll become a star." It also represents the fact that lots of people look at that person, just as many people look at stars. Super in English means "more than," such as Superman (more than just a man), a supercar (such as a Lamborghini; it's more than a regular car). It's a prefix similar to "ultra" or "mega".

So a super star is a person more famous than a regular famous person. Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law are stars. Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie are super stars.

1) STAY COOL "Cool" has lots of street meanings - here is an extract from UrbanDictionary:

1. awesome
2. popular; like in a social hierarchy
3. used when a conversation goes silent
4. nice
5. wicked (New England style, NOT evil= wicked)
6. good or great
7. not warm, but not cold
8. okay with each other, not mean to each other, but not necessarily nice, just not mean

So "Stay cool" will depend on the precise context of use.
