Hi,

Could anyone help me with the following sentence? I don't quite understand.

Impartiality is preserved on the part of the persons providing the programmes as respects matters of political or industrial controversy or relating to current public policy; and subject as hereinafter provided in this subsection, that no matter designed to serve the interests of any political party is included in the programmes.

Thanks.

It's an effort to avoid partisan politics. It's a directive to avoid promoting the point of view of any particular political party.
