There is no simple answer to this. Many learners think they need to learn a specific number of words every day. I disagree. I always tell my students to read as much as they can in English. When they find a word they don't know, they should look it up in two dictionaries - first in a single-language dictionary where they can read the definition in English, and then (if they don't understand the definition), in a dictionary which translates the word into their native language.

If they decide that it is a useful word, a word they will probably need to use in English, they should learn a full sentence with it. That sentence should be something memorable for them, something that actually means something to them.

Bookmark this site and use it to see how individual words are used in sentences.

Note my corrections above. You must capitalise the word "I" (first person singular pronoun) every time you write/type it.

Don't try to learn huge lists. Learn a few words and refresh your memory over time until the words are in long-term memory. You can learn a list of fifty words in a night, but you probably won't remember many two weeks later.
