I am wondering if I can write the sentence as in both (a) and (b).
(a) In spite of his denial, I am not convinced that he did not reveal the secret to Bob.
(b) In spite of his denial in revealing the secret to Bob, I was not convinced.
I don't know if there are grammar errors in (a) and (b).
