Hello,

"In spite of walking to work or to do our shopping
, we spend our time sitting in cars, and despite government health warnings, we eat more and more so-called ‘junk’ food and drink more and more high-calories drinks. "

Is the bold sentence equivalent to the following?

"In spite of walking to work or (walking) to do our shopping ..."

Yes. Write high-calorie drinks.

The singular is "calorie", not "calory".

Good grief. Another embarrassing pre-coffee post. Thanks for pointing out my mistake.
