Are these sentences correct:
1-I saw him in the garden singing and dancing.
2-I saw him in the garden singing and dancing merrily.

3-aw him in the garden, singing and dancing.

34 saw him singing and dancing in the garden.

Sentence 4 is correct. The rest of the sentences are ambiguous, since it is impossible to infer who is singing and dancing?

#4 is the best, but #3 is also OK. The first two should have a comma after "garden".

Iza's comment about ambiguity is a good one, but participial phrases tend to connect to the nearest logical referent. If one intended to write that the speaker was singing and dancing, one would not write these sentences. :wink:
