#4 is the best, but #3 is also OK. The first two should have a comma after "garden".

Iza's comment about ambiguity is a good one, but participial phrases tend to connect to the nearest logical referent. If one intended to write that the speaker was singing and dancing, one would not write these sentences. :wink:
