Unfortunately, a naked selfie in which an American eagle was shown nesting on the rear ledge of the first lady literally broke the internet, causing society to collapse in 2022.

Is this how the sentence combined?
An American eagle was shown nesting on the rear ledge of the first lady literally broke the internet in a naked selfie.
A naked selfie causes society to collapse in 2022.

It is not a sentence that makes much sense. What exactly is the rear ledge of the first lady?

It's from a magazine 《Marie Claire》, I don't know the meaning of the rear ledge of the first lady either.

Marie Claire is a French magazine. I suspect your text is an unfortunate machine translation, though I can't guess what the original French might have been. I had no luck Googling some French variations of bits of the text.

The core of the sentence is "a naked selfie literally broke the internet". The words between "selfie" and "literally" are descriptive of "selfie". If I were an editor, I would have offset them with commas.

I don't know what "the rear ledge of the first lady" means, unless it's a folksy way of describing her butt (as suggested in the picture posted above).

And is it supposed to be "First Lady" (i.e., the wife of the president)?

Could you post a link to the page- the site search for Marie Claire UK is terrible. I posted a chunk of your quote and got 2,000 results.

Actually, I have been wondering when to use " in which" sentence structure,as sometimes people would put "in" at the end of the sentence.
