Dear all,

Here is a quote from the letters section of Economist.

“my experience of the “golden economic inheritance” bequeathed by the Conservatives to the Labour government in 1997 included cheaply-built dilapidated schools and a general lack of resource”

Should I use included or including in the above sentence?

Thank you

It's the main verb in the sentence. It needs to be in the simple past but not in the continuous.
