Is a valve provided/equipped with a stamp?

Hello everybody!
I would like to say that a valve - after being checked for proper functioning - is usually provided with a seal or a stamp (a seal which prevents ingress of water should not confused with a seal that is used as a stamp). Should I say: a valve was provided with a stamp bearing a number or a stamp bearing a number was placed on a valve or a stamp bearing a number was put on a valve.
What is the proper English way to express this idea?

By a valve, I mean a normal valve installed on pipes or pumps.

If the number is printed or embossed on a metal tag which is then attached to the valve, you could say The valve had a tag attached to it or The vendor attached a tag to the valve. I prefer the latter because it's direct and in the active voice.

If the number is embossed on the valve's body, say The vendor embossed the valve with the service number (or whatever kind of number you're talking about).

The thing is that a seal was put on a valve by means of sealing pliers.

It sounds more like some kind of inspection tag or inspection label. Does it contain some kind of information such as the name or number of the person who inspected it, along with a date?

Does it look something like this? If so, I'd call it an inspection tag.

Or it is something more like this? If so, I'd call it an inspection label.

Same idea, but a tag is a piece of metal or paper attached with string or wire, whereas a label is stuck directly on the product.

I assume that the operation involves passing a wire between gaps in a handwheel of a valve, passing both ends of the same wire through an inspection label and sealing the label by means of sealing pliers.
