Is the sentence "I am also sending you a duplicate of your letter signed by me." grammatically correct?

It is grammatically correct, but it leaves me with a question. The reference to "your letter" sounds as if the letter in question was sent to the writer. As such, the letter would have been signed by the person who sent the letter to the writer of your sentence. I don't understand why the writer of this sentence would sign the letter that is being discussed.
