You should use the tense you have used unless you wish to express something different. (i.e. I don't understand your question).
Your sentences are grammatical. Naturally, if you want them to mean something else, you could change the tense.
For example, if you haven't done the talking yet, you'd write:
We will be talking in English for 8 hours.

Perhaps you could clarify.
PS: No, I can't see anywhere you'd need "the".

The point is that I haven`t come across the usage of the past continuous in cases like these (in my question).
On the on hand, I can`t imagine what tense I should use in these sentences except the past continuous.
On the other hand, I wasn`t sure completely if I had to use this tense or not. That`s why I`d asked a question.
As to an article "the" I thought that I had to use it in the word combination "the correct grammar".
I hope now I expressed my thoughts cleary.)))

Your use of the continuous is correct. You could also use the simple past; "We walked around Moscow for 2 days". No, you don't need to use 'the' in your title.
