[FONT=&#23435]I construe the follow sentence as :[/FONT]

[FONT=&#23435]He was trialed here on the priciple of the presumbion of innocence. However there was sufficient evidence proving that he was guilty.[/FONT]

[FONT=&#23435]The original sentence is:[/FONT]
[FONT=&#23435]"He is here because he was tried and convicted beyond reasonable doubt given the presumbtion of innocence by a jury of 12 people."[/FONT]

Principle instead priciple

A person is tried by a court and convicted of a crime if the court's verdict is "guilty".
