Dear teachers

Just a quick question.
Should I use "is" or "are" in following sentence:

There ___ 0.08 nodes (or node)?

This is really confusing:).

thanks!

I would go with "are" also. We would use the singular with 1, a half, a quarter, etc. When one uses decimals, one uses the plural, even though they may be less than one.
