HI,

Could you please tell me if this sentence is correct or not and if not, why?

Without our clients, we would be the same with an artist without his colors

Thank you for your answer!

Incorrect. The phrase is "the same AS....."

A better sentence would be "Without our clients, we would be like an artist without his colours", though you could say "......we would be the same AS an artist......"

I think a better metaphor would be an artist without his canvas. You can have great ideas but nothing to do with them. There are beautiful pictures done in black and white (no color) but you can't create a picture if you have no medium to put it on. (Here, canvas would stand in for all media.)

I see your point, but to me the company is the canvas and the clients are the colours! Just my opinion.
