Hands should be cleaned before gloving as there is still a need for hands decontamination despite wearing gloves, in order to prevent bacterial accumulation under them, that could infect the patient in case of gloves puncture.

Before gloving, hands must be cleaned/washed in order to prevent bacterial accumulation on the hands, which could lead to infection in a patient in the case of a glove being punctured.
