Being a little more formal/informal doesn't make options correct/incorrect, especially considering the fact that the sentence above isn't in a specific context.

I retract my previous answer. You are right: the answers are all acceptable, and if the examiner is expecting only one, you have to select the one you think they are looking for.

It is indeed a bad test question, and a non-standard one.
