Sentence: "They need to be strong they are way too polite in addressing their rivals"

My question/doubts: What does "way too polite" means, isn't it an example of wrong usage of the word "way" ? Second, is this sentence grammatically correct in using in preposition ? Wouldn't it be better to use "when it comes to"in place of in ?

Thanks

Either "in" or "when it comes to" are correct. I would use "far" or "much" instead of "way", in my opinion "way" is wrong but I'm sure that there will be Americans who disagree.

Thanks for your reply. I also think our Americans friends would disagree on the usage of the word way as an 'intensifier' :-| but I'll go with you since I'm an admirer of Queen's English ;-)
