Excuse me!!!

1.Pair that with poise, and in my opinion you've got Aynsley beat.

Q1: 'poise' here means ? y
Q1-1: you've got Aynsley beat---you've fought off Aynsley?

2.She's still on my case for coming home late the last couple of times
we went out.

Q2: on my case ---??

3.Now that Hugh's available, she'll probably be all over him, trying to
catch him on the rebound.

Q3-1: availabe here means "chance"?
Q3-2: all over here means?
Q3-3: on the rebound means "to fightback"?

Thanks a lot!^_^

Let me try:

1. Poise is gesture, manner, composure, the way you carry yourself.
2. You have got Anysley bet. You are better than Anysley.
3. On my case. Nugging, after me, telling me I am wrong, etc.
4. Available. Hugh has no girl friend at this moment.
5. All over. Physically close to him ?
6. Rebound. Hugh just lost a girlfriend; he is looking for a replacement. (A rebound is a quick recovery to losing his old girlfriend.)
The new girlfriend would be called a rebound girl.

Thanks to teachers to double check the above. (Is it above or the above?)

Now that Hugh is available… My guess is that Hugh is a free man now, he is not caught up sentimentally or emotionally with another woman, hence, she will try every thing to get him sentimentally.

All over him: in this context, I believe it means that she will dedicate him all her attentions with the intention to make him fancy her. Literally “all-over” means covering the whole of him, ergo to cover him with “romantic” attentions.

Trying to catch him on the rebound: she will try to catch him while he is still recovering from an emotional (shock, rejection). Could be by a previous lover…

She is still discussing tediously or persistently about the fact that he/she came home late… (she is not pleased)
