I am wondering if my sentence is grammatically correct.

Jim has moved to a new company, and unlike in the previous, where his career stagnated, he now fares well.

I would add a comma after 'and' and add 'one' after 'previous'.

I'd use "at the previous", not "in".

Do I need to add "one" after "previous," or could it be dropped?
