Is sentence 1 correct?
If not, are sentence 2, 3 correct?

Sentence1:
John is learning Excel VBA.
Sentence2:
John is learning Excel VBA programming.
Sentence3:
John is learning the programming Excel VBA.


Note:
We can use VBA in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

They are all correct, but 1. is the simplest, and 3. is ponderous.
