Hello together,

I'm from Germany and I'm new here since today. Within the next few month I start with a further education to foreign language correspondence clerk of English. This is why I want to improve my English.

I'm 24 years old, and I work in a pharmaceutical company as Regulatory Affairs Assistant. This is because the first company I worked, was acquire by another company. Before this, I worked in the costumer service. But the new job is also very interesting.

It would also very nice of you, if you can give me some advices to learn english. At time I learn in my old practice book, and I watch every day (for ca. one hour) CNN. But I don't understand very much.

I knew, that my English is not very good, and so I hope, that someone here, correct my mistakes. If you want to know more about me, do not hesitate to ask me.

Hello hana,

Thanks for your advice. What Do you read?
Indeed I have an english book, but this is very difficult to read. And so I read few sites, and than it lay in the corner again. The Title is: Crime and punishment. I have bought it in "ebay" for five months.

Is there any book which you can recommend me (or "to me"?)?

Thanks a lot

You know this book? I have read 80 pages till today. Since four weeks it lay in the corner again, because I don't have understand very much. A friend of me has borrowed me another book today. It's called "Bare Bones", a bestseller of Kathy Reichs. Do know this book?

I think its a good idea to discuss together. I'll begin to read this evening. I hope that I understand a little more

Where are you from?
"Bare Bones" is also not very easy, but I understand more as by "crime and punishment". Can you please explain to me, what Kathy Reichs mean with the following sentences?

"The memory cells had been offering the same image all morning. Though I'd tried to conjure up others, this one kept reappearing."
I don't understand this :(

Hana, Dany, have you tried ebooks (i.e., electronic books)? You can download them for free. 8) Go to your search engine and do a search under free ebooks. :D You can chose the books you like and read them online, offline or even print them off.

All the best, :D

At the moment, I'm reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel. It's very funny!

I'm now on page 100. It is relative easy to read and it is very exciting.
I'm very intrested in this stories, and I look every Wednesday the true stories about them in the TV. It would be very good, to disguss together about this. So we would understand something more :D

Hello Hana,

No sweat. When I have finish this book, I try to read crime and punishment again. This book do you also want to read, don't you?

I sit on work at the moment, and I have nothing to do, because I have everything worn out. But a friend comes for me in a half hour. We want to go eat this evening. I want to test a restaurant for a meeting in October. The Problem is, that the restaurant must be nearly of the hotel, and there are not many :(

Have a good weekend :D
Kind regards,
Dany
