Justification why I need to bring notebook to office

I just worked at this company and they do have ICT company policy. One of them is all the software that we want to use must have approval from IT department. Since I need to use various software to perform my daily duties, and to avoid all this ridiculous law, I bring my own notebook with my own internet access.

Unfortunately, one day my boss come to me and said that the notebook is not allowed. They need a justification why I need to bring it. Is there any sample of memo / justification for this case.

Here are a few reason why I need it (if there is any good reason, please feel free to add it)

• The office pc is very slow with low spec
• doesn’t have internet access
• ... what else?

Possible reasons.
- You cannot copy software to an office computer.
- You might have a security problem with their computer.
- There are many employees, but few computers.
- Your personal data cannot be shared with the office.
