Both of these are good to use.
keep it secret = keep it a secret

But in my opinion, these two usages may have subtle difference in meaning.

keep it a secret - I won't tell anybody

keep it as a secret - I won't tell anybody nor I want anybody else to find out the truth.

in my opinion i think they are both correct

the first one i think it means the secret between u and me
and the second one is the secret put safely away and never mentioning it ever again
