I have tried to use "keep tabs on someone". Would you please correct my mistakes?

Maria has noticed that her cleaner steals food from her, and now he keeps tabs on her. She has vowed that if she ever sees her again doing the same thing, she will sack her immediately.

I will repeat my sentences again.
Maria has noticed that her cleaner steals food from her, and how she keeps tabs on her. She has vowed that if she ever sees the cleaner again doing the same thing, she will sack her immediately.

I don't much like it. Start with, e.g., "Maria has decided to keep tabs on the cleaning lady after, etc."
See if you can finish that sentence by yourself. I don't really think the second sentence is necessary.

Is "her" necessary?

I meant the second.

teechar,

You are right. The second "her" is redundant. I noticed that first after your suggestion.

Maria has decided to keep tabs on the cleaning lady after she caught her stealing her food.

She caught doesn't work with the tense of the first verb.
