I need your assistance in claryfing the meaning of the following
phrase :-

I have to meet my (end-of-year deadlines at work). My doctor told me that there is nothing much I can do about it.

what is meant by end-of-year deadlines at work ?

and does the phrase (there is nothing much i can do abourt it)
means there is no cure or treatment for my case ?

A deadline is, generally speaking, a date by which something must be accomplished or it will not be accomplished.

If your doctor has told you there is nothing that can be done that is bad news. That probably means there is no cure for your condition.
