At least English is not very difficult to learn, is it ?
Anyway, the more languages you can speak, the better.![]()
ByE!
Forced to learn English.
I am not learning English because of any type of force.
I am learning it to enjoy talking with those who speak english, I am learning ( or better to say trying to learn as I am not ESL student) to read good things written in English.I am learning English so I am able to talk with people like you.

OK- that should be would! ;-)
Since I am Spanish, I kind of understand Italian. I think it is not very difficult if you know another Latin language. Otherwise, it may be a little bit harder to learn. Anyway, I think Italian and English might have some coincidences in pronunciation, but not many. Can you give some examples ?green_summer said:I have a question, do you think it is difficult to learn Italian ? Because I found some Italian pronunciation sounds like English. It is very interesting

I can hardly understand French when I listen to French-speaking people. it is easier when I read it. I guess that's because "we write what we say", we only have one way to pronounce letters (I hope you get what I meanI've had English-speaking colleagues that could speak some French and Italian, but they could get understood more easily in Italian, while French-speaking people would often ask them to repeat what they've said
I think you can learn Italian by yourself. It would be easier if you knew another Latin language because there are a lot of similarities amongst them.Because I plan to learn some Italian, but I don't have time to take some courses, do you think I can learn it by myself ?
Yeah, there are several sounds that might be hard to pronounce for non-native speakers, but even if you pronounce it like 'regret' in English you would be understood. I think it's probably more of a rhythm problem.I can hardly understand French when I listen to French-speaking people. it is easier when I read it. I think that Spanish, Portuguese and Italian are closer, phonetically speaking. The sounds in these languages are similar. French pronunciation is more difficult. For example, I cannot say "Je regrette". G and French r together... Impossible for me.
Do you agree with my remark?

Sure we do understand Spanish. When I went to Spain in march I spoke Italian and I could easily be understood and viceversa. Even when there are unfamiliar words in Spanish sentences it's not that hard for me to understand their meaning, for instance in Spanish to say "A glass of water" you use "Un vaso de aqua"; in italian it is "Un bicchiere d'acqua". Even if I didn't have a clue what vaso means, the structure is so similar to the italian one that it wouldn't be hard to guess vaso means bicchiere. :wink:Do you think the Italian can understand Spanish ?
