Hi,

could you please tell me whether it is possible to say "leaving medical examination" as opposed to an "entry medical examination" (upon termination of an employment relationship)?

Thanks a lot!

Is this an exam given to employees leaving the business?

I'd say post-work exam or post-employment exam.

Maybe someone else will have a better idea.

No, this is a medical examination. The employees are examined to find out whether they are healthy.

If it is BEFORE they are hired, it will be a pre-employment medical exam.

I was confused by your question.

this is all sounding very legal.
pre-employment medical exam. : the trouble is, this merely means, yes, give me a medical. It is just a formality - I still get a job even if I'm half dead. It's just that it comes before I start work, not a day or two after!

A pre-requisite medical examination to determine fitness for employment.

pre-requisite: a thing (here: the medical) that is required as a prior condition for something else (here: employment) to happen or exist

Yes - "post" means "after."

Sometimes it is referred to as your "exit medical examination."

Ha!

Is that anything like the "exit interview"?

Hanka -

I was making a joke.

Many times companies try to conduct an "exit review" after firing someone (affectionately known as "letting them go" or "being laid off".)

The employee resents this.
