See above. My version is shorter and more to the point. I am working on the assumption that you need your boss's permission for both and my version asks for that whereas your original only seemed to ask for permission for the day to work from home.

The opening is a little odd. "Hi" is quite informal but "Sir" is very formal. Don't you know the name of the person you're writing to?
