Do these sentences make any sense?

- As I want to attend medicine at university, I will have life-long studies.

- To choose a good profession is very important because it will last lifelong? It is longtem?

(I guess they are all wrong)

The first one:

  • [list:3b272e6ac0]Since I am going to become a doctor, I will be studying for a lifetime.
[/list:u:3b272e6ac0]

Or:

  • [list:3b272e6ac0]Since I am going to be attending medical school at universtiy, I will have a great deal of studying to do. If I become a doctor my studies will last a lifetime.
[/list:u:3b272e6ac0]

The second one:

  • Choosing a good profession is very important, because you will probably be choosing a lifelong career.

You can't say "last a lifelong", because "lifelong" is only an adjective.
