The more times you get thankes, the more green dots you get, I believe. As the most-thanked person,you should have more dots than the rest of us. The forum software has had a number of updates recently and Adam is playing around with the settings of his new toy in the background. ;-)

May I clarify? The dots you see in posts represent a member's reputation. The number of times a member is Thanked is independent and does not contribute to reputations. These are just two different ways of seeing who is "valued" in the forum.

You can add to a member's reputation separately from thanking them, by clicking on the scales icon:
