Does it sound OK to say:

"Clara has lived her life sadly since her grandfather died" :?

(I thought about: Has led a sad life since..., but I want to know if the first option is really wrong !)

Thanks.

It's okay, but sadly is not really a descriptive term. It would be better to say, "Clara has been sad since her father died." I think the reader would understand that better.

What do you think?
