I- Purpose of travelling aborad:
A. Better jobs:
-unemployment rate is high at home
-salaries abroad are better

B. Medical care:
-home country does not provide for sufficient health care
-some countries have better medical staff

C. Studying
-Home country does not offer PhDs
-Qualify of education abroad is better than at home

D. Tourism
-People like to go abroad for refreshment
-People like to visit countries that have beaches, for example.

What clever students. I am of the belief that work et cetera is there to enhance your life. I would be very rich if I was paid for the "work" I do in helping friends et cetera with their English in social get-togethers, but this enhances our conversations (and they teach me about their language and culture too!).
