Hey Guys, could you please clear some of my doubts, I’ve seen many sentences where I have came across a work called “Stepped out”. I am wording what’s the use of this word.

Can someone please explain the meaning and uses of stepped out in an easy language :D

For example : Like in my case, I did comedy and action, and then stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something like Avengers.

Thank you for any help that you guys provide :)

Your "comfort zone" is what feels right and natural for you. You don't have to try hard.
Though I don't understand it here, since The Avengers was action and pretty funny.

Yeah! you are right, though I'm still looking for my answer. Here is one more sentence "“If you don't step out of your comfort zone and face your fears, the number of situations that make you uncomfortable will keep growing."

Can you please give me some example where I can use stepped out? Like they have stepped out from there comfort zone and have done well in their job.

Thanks for helping me anyway!

BarbD gave you the answer in the very first word of her post. "Stepped out" can be replaced by "left" in order to understand the meaning.

I stepped out of my comfort zone = I left my comfort zone = I departed from my comfort zone = I moved away from my comfort zone.

It simply means that sometimes you are very comfortable doing something but sometimes you feel the need to challenge yourself so you do something which is different from the types of things that you are comfortable with.

Example

I give a lot of speeches in English and they don't make me nervous but last year, I stepped out of my comfort zone and gave a speech in French. It was terrifying!
