Looking for the right vocabulary.

Hi guys,

Here's the sentence.

Using security cameras has become crucial for parents who leave their kids to caretaker/nanny/babysitter's

responsibility.

I am not sure but I think there should be a better wording to say what I have made bold in the above sentence.

Could you please give me some alternate vocabulary to be used here.

I just want to replace the "left to someone's responsibility" with something that sounds more accurate.

... you can follow bhai's suggestion with nanny, au pair, babysitter, childminder, governess (I have no idea if governesses still exist but it's worth looking up).

Definitely don't use caretaker - that is someone who looks after buildings and (sometimes) gardens.

You could use caregiver or carer, but only if it someone who looks after a sick child who needs to be medically cared for full-time.

very confusing.

Oh and thanks emsr2d2 ... I apologize for the unclear and confusing message there. I shouldn't have put "caretaker/babysitter etc. in bold.

I am actually looking for vocabulary for "leaving someone on someone's responsibility". As bhaisahab mentioned "in the care of",

this is exactly what I am looking for. Do you have any more suggestions?
