Does "love encounters" make sense in English?

It is for encounters of lovers, of course. If not, how would you say that?

It seems "love affairs" is not quite suitable, because "affairs" seems to be for "adventure" in a sense of furtiveness, isn't it? And that's not the case.

Tryst also implies meeting in secret. Perhaps rendezvous?

It's not a phrase I can recommend using.

If I saw it, I would assume it was a quick meeting for sex.
