"Now I'm in over my head
with something I said
Completely misread
I'm better off dead
And now I can see
How fake you can be
This hypocrisy is beginning to get to me"

what 's the meaning of the 1st and the last sentence?

"I'm in over my head" means that the person has taken on more than he can handle. "This hypocrisy is beginning to get to me" means that the phoniness of other people is disturbing to him.

"Phoniness" is the practice of pretending to be something you are not. A person who is phony is voicing an opinion or displaying an attitude or feeling that he that is not genuine. That is, he does not really believe what he says, or he does not really feel the way he pretends to.
