I have confusion about the meaning of these sentence ...

1- many of the stores will be closed on the holiday ....

2- many stores will be closed on the holiday ...

are both have the same meaning ?

I hope you all are well.

I [STRIKE]have confusion[/STRIKE] am not sure about the meanings of these sentence.

1- Many of the stores will be closed [STRIKE]on[/STRIKE] during the holiday.

2- Many stores will be closed [STRIKE]on[/STRIKE] during the holiday.

[STRIKE] are[/STRIKE] Do both have the same meaning?

Sentence #1 has "the stores" in it which suggests you're talking about a specific/previously mentioned set of stores.
