marched or approached

Which one is correct?
A person approached/marched over to me.
I want to say someone walked toward me.

Then just say he walked over to you.

If someone "marches" it could be seen as threatening or intimidating.

They can approach you as well, if you really prefer that word.

I don't prefer a certain word what do you think is better and formal?
I want to say I was in the street and I saw someone I don't know walking over to me. he was hurrying while I think walking is a slow process.

I would not say that walking is a "slow process". There are words for walking slowly - dawdling, for instance.

Marching definitely suggests a very specific type of walking. Marching is what soldiers do, all together, in time with each other, for instance. It would suggest a somewhat more aggressive or threatening manner.

If they were simply coming towards you, then "walking towards" or "approaching" are perfectly fine.
