I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

Maria took the bread out of the cupboard and saw it was mouldy. She tossed it angrily into the bin under the sink. It was raining outside, and she had to dress herself and go to buy bread; otherwise, she would go to work without breakfast.

I would use "get dressed" instead of "dress herself" in the above.

I would use something like she would have to get dressed and go out to get some bread.

After "It was raining outside", I'd use "but" to show that if she wanted any breakfast she would have to go out despite the rain.
