Mark and Ted swore/have sworn to keep the secret from their siblings.

Due to the infinitive 'to keep', I think I should use 'have sworn'. However, I'm unsure as the simple past 'swore' sounds fine to me. Kindly help me to understand which tense is correct.

No, the infinitive later in that sentence has nothing to do with the choice of tense. Both tenses are possible.
