'me gustaría ' stands for i hope. you can also say 'desearía, me gustaría or ojalá', wich is an untranslateble word meaning exactly i hope.

¿ como es la estructura de I Hope ?

Well, technically "I hope" and "Me gustaria" don't really equate. "I hope" is "Yo deseo". "Me gustaria" is more "I would like..." or to be more technical "It would please me if ...."

Your sentence should translate more into

"I would like to have a car"
"I'd like it if you didn't smoke [anymore]"

I hope this helps.

Desear = to wish; to desire
Gustar = to like (gustarse being the reflexive form in the infinitive)

In a more realistic sense, no one really conjugates "desear". Everyone just says "me gustaria" or "quiciera".
