In my credit card terms and conditions i read that forex charges will be 3.5% MARK. In movie avengers the pilot dispatches nuclear warhead and says detonation in 2minutes 30 seconds MARK.

My doubt is what is meaning of word MARK in these context. Does it mean maximum. If it does then does it have some grammatical background or is it some kind of slang?

In the first case, MARK must have some special meaning that makes sense to bankers; in the context of credit card Ts&Cs you can bet your life it means you'll get less than you hoped ;-). The second usage is just specifying a starting point for the count-down.
