Meaning of sentence

Hi,

I have problem with meaning of following sentence:

'That sure made me nervous'.

If anyone could explain me what is the meaning that sentence I'll be thankfull.

If anyone could explain to me what [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] the meaning of that sentence is, I'll be [STRIKE]thankful[/STRIKE] grateful.

If you see "sure" in this sort of context, it means "certainly" or "definitely", or sometimes "very" or "really". I believe it's a mostly American term, but is used more and more internationally.

I sure like those shoes! (I really like those shoes.)
He sure made a lot of noise! (He certainly made a lot of noise.)
You sure are pretty! (You are definitely very pretty.)
