I've met a few people in my time who seem to think they know everything. ;)

Webster's unabridged doesn't know everything either, but it knew this:

Main Entry:auctor
Pronunciation:**k*t*(*)r, *a*k-
Function:noun
Inflected Form:plural auctors \-rz\ ; also auctores \**t**r*z\
Etymology:Latin, author * more at AUTHOR

: the author or source (as a vendor or assignor) of a right or title : PRINCIPAL

Maybe we're all in one big circle. ;)

All these talks about circle reminds me a poetry of famous Urdu poet Amjad Ialam Amjad.

I dare to translate first few starting lines from that.

We people,
walk in the circles
by walking in circles
circles grows big
distance doesn't shorten!

How about:
  • We people walk in circles.
By walking in circles the circles grow bigger,
    But the distance between us
    Doesn't lengthen.
