mention and mentioning

Please check my sentences.
a. It's completely useless to mention this all the time\all along.
b. It's completely useless to keep mentioning this all the time\all along.

"All along" does not sound right to me in either sentence. "All the time" sounds fine to me in the first sentence.

Using the infinitive of "mention" is fine.

It's completely useless to mention this all the time.

In the second sentence "all the time" is redundant when you use the infinitive "to keep" with the present participle of "mention".

It's completely useless to keep mentioning this.

"To keep" implies a repeated act.

Without the "to keep" you need the "all the time" phrase to suggest a repeated action.

It's completely useless mentioning this all the time.

This would certainly be ok in common speech. But I would prefer the first sentence, "It's completely useless to mention this all the time." overall.
