Would you please correct the mistakes in my sentences?

Michael was smitten with Hannah the moment he saw her. It was not much her looks that impressed him but the way she smoothly drifted from one topic to another and gave him honest answers to all his questions.

I can't find any mistakes to correct. :) However (!), from a logical point of view, since it was her conversational skills that impressed him, it's not strictly true that he fell for her when he first saw her. It must have been when he first spoke to her.

I would add "so" before "much". That is all. Your sentence writing is showing a lot of improvement in the last week.

Michael was smitten with Hannah the moment he saw her. It was not so much her looks that impressed him but the way she smoothly drifted from one topic to another and gave him honest answers to all his questions.

"It was not so much..." is another way of saying "it was more than just...". Not using the "so" destroys that meaning and makes the sentence awkward.

Well done.

As so often happens when we read in our own language, my brain automatically inserted that "so" before "much". Sorry, Bassim!
