Apparently, there isn't any more. However, people are invited to comment. Perhaps Tdol will explain to us what a mission statement is.

Here, companies write a couple of sentences of vapid wishful thinking meant to be the core values of the company. I just find the language of much business so grindingly dull.;-)

I now recall that term now that you reminded me that it used in a business context. It doesn't seem that companies used to need such things. After all, if you manufactured shirts that is what you did. What would you need a mission statement for?

Years ago, I worked for a department store in the UK (BHS). We were required to remember the company's mission statement as part of our training.

I can't remember any of it now though..... :wink:

We are supposed to memorise our equal opportunity statement in case the CRE (Commission for Racial Equality) ever comes in to check us out. ;-)

You have a Commission for Racial Equality? What does a Commission for Racial Equality do? (I thought PC was bad in this country (USA), but at least we don't have a Commission for Racial Equality.)

They are thinking of merging allthe Equality commissions into one. They don't do that much. I attended a day's training with them. I gather they're not in favour of race hate.;-)
