Hi folks,

The structure of the sentence shown in the title seems a bit ambiguous to me because it could be interpreted both as "He has created designs that have shown great artistic skill" and as "He has created designs in which he has shown (his) great artistic skill."

What do you think?

Thanks as always.

I can see what you're getting at but designs can't, on their own, show great artistic skill. They can only demonstrate the skill of the creator so I don't think the ambiguity is really there.

Thanks emsr2d2, but I can't see your point that designs can't show…but they can only demonstrate….
I see abundant examples on the Internet, at least. I show you just a couple here.
We found 20 creative designs that show just how these meaningful touches can play a part in packaging.
9 designs that show how insanely great Marc Newson will be at Apple

I'd appreciate it if you could elaborate further on it.
